Good Morning All. The police apprehended the person who abducted, brutally raped and killes Stacha Arends yesterday afternoon. His DNA was found in and on her body. He lives 2 houses from where Stacha used to live. We thank all for your support in this case. As distraught and broken as we are by the tragedy we are very happy for the swift investigation that lead to his arrest. It will not bring our baby back, but it will give closure to the family and community and allow us to give our baby the dignified funeral that she deserve and focus on her and not the animal that did this to her. May she find solace in the arms of God who alone can heal the wound in each and every broken heart that is affected by this sudden death. May her friends continue to remember her for the sparkly person that she was. May her parents find peace knowing the matter is taken care of and that the culprit will be dealt with accordingly beyond a reasonable doubt. God bless you all.

It is alleged that three robbers boarded a train from Kapteinsklip train station to Mitchells Plain train station with the intention to rob Nyanga bound school children.
